Maintenance Guide for Artificial Grass

Pets

Artificial Grass is porous, so animal urine drains. Faeces can be removed by simply picking up and hosing or rinsing with water if required, a mild household detergent can be used to clean a soiled area. if there is an issue with urine smells in hot weather periods we recommend using Leisure Grass artificial grass cleaner Artificial Grass Cleaner 1ltr available as ready to use or concentrate Artificial Grass Cleaner 2 ltr and Artificial Grass Cleaner 5 ltr. not only will it clean your artificial grass it will also leave it smelling of fresh cut grass.

Brushing

It is important to remove surface debris such as fallen leaves or organic matter which can encourage weed growth and prevent the drainage of your lawn, this can be easily be done by brushing with a stiff brush or a leaf blower. The growth of weeds through the Artificial Grass should be minimal if at all as the membrane laid prevents the risk of unwanted plant or weed growth that would grow through normal grass patches.

What not to do

Anything that involves a naked flame , lighting fireworks, bonfires, bbq's should not be carried out on or near to your Artificial Grass, avoid getting adhesive substances, chewing gum or paint on the Artificial Grass. If carrying out any work that could affect the Artificial Grass such as painting sheds or fencing it is advisable to sheet off the area to prevent spillage of anything that may be difficult to remove.

Sharp metal objects should not be placed on the Artificial Grass as they can damage the tuff and the latex of the Grass.
